Coffee Cup Holder Information

I used to find it funny how people choose to express themselves with their coffee mugs. Every morning, my employees march into the restaurant. Each one of them is silent with early morning sleepiness, yet each one has a coffee mug with a goofy picture or silly quote on it. I guess that it is because people are too tired in the morning to talk. If they are going to be standing around in awkward silence, they figure that they should at least have something entertaining on their coffee cups.

I have always tried to express the same spirit with the coffee cup holder where everyone hangs their personal mug up when they are done with their morning cup. Each space on the coffee cup holder has someones name, along with their nickname and a little picture. The coffeecupholder has always been a center of pranks around the workplace. People put up little quotes about each other anonymously, or draw little cartoons about their coworkers. It is funny because no one ever talks about it, but everyone plays their part in the pranks. Periodically, we even catch each other doing it.

Coffee Cup Holder on a Motocycle?

One of the most frequent target is Stan. The coffee cup holder has a picture of him riding his motorcycle with a huge coffee mug balanced on top of his head. He always carries in a gigantic cup of coffee, you see, and no one can figure out how he gets it in to work. Some of the guys think that he has a motorcycle cup holder, but it seems like he would not be able to fit that mug into it. No one really knows, and he will not tell. For that reason, there is always a new cartoon drawing of him up on the coffeecupholder. Someone draws another one almost every single day.

It seems like coffee cup holders reflect the spirit of the place. While the coffee cup holder at work has a bright, boisterous look to it, the one I have at home is much different. It is a plain coffee cup holder, made out of a well varnished, beautiful wood. My daughter actually made the coffee cup holder by hand in her shop class. It is painted with hearts and has a personal message at the bottom. It really reflects the loving environment that is our home in the same way that the one in the restaurant reflects the playfulness of work.
